Serving Smiles at Ronald McDonald House: Team Hoehn Serves a Meal and Celebrates the New Hoehn Family Serenity Garden.

Last week, a team of Hoehn employees visited the Ronald McDonald House at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of the newest addition to the House: the Hoehn Serenity Garden, a peaceful retreat with calming fountains and thoughtful landscaping that offers families a tranquil space to rest and decompress, made possible with donations from the Hoehn Cares initiative.
During the visit, our team also toured the recently expanded facility, which serves as a home away from home for families whose children are undergoing extensive medical care. The Ronald McDonald House not only provides a convenient and comfortable place to sleep but also offers access to essential comforts and resources, including a school, gaming room, kitchen, laundry services, playground, mental health support, and more. These amenities play a vital role in giving families a sense of normalcy, comfort, and support during one of the most challenging moments imaginable.
We concluded the evening by preparing and serving a freshly cooked, nutritious meal for residents. Nightly meals, prepared at the Ronald McDonald House by staff and volunteer groups, give families one less thing to worry about during an incredibly stressful time. Our team is honored to have continued this tradition for eight years.
